Umbrella String Trio is made up of two violins (Jessica Higgins and Ellen Newman) and a cello (Caitlin Stapleton). They have performed together countless times in many different performance/background music situations.

Ellen is currently studying at the VCA (the Victorian College of the Arts) while Jessica and Caitlin complete their VCE studies.

Jessica recieved her AMusA (Associate Diploma of Music in Australia) and is currently working on her LMusA (Licentiate Diploma of Music in Australia) repotoire.

Caitlin is preparing her VCE solo repotoire at AMusA level. All three musicians teach their respective instruments and play in a number of emsembles around Geelong.
