Cohen Duo
Guitar Vocal Jazz
Cohen Duo has been cultivating a smooth and sophisticated vocal and guitar sound since 2002. Their music is a rich blend of jazz, popular, and original material. Both Ben and Emma are dedicated and passionate performers who combine in the intimate duo setting to startling effect.
Emma began singing as well as piano and flute at an early age and went on to The Victorian College Of The Arts (VCA) where she studied vocal improvisation. She has performed as a jazz and popular vocalist at numerous notable events and venues including Bennett’s Lane (Melbourne).
Ben initially trained classically on piano and trumpet and later discovered jazz and guitar. He studied jazz guitar at The West Australian Academy Of The Performing Arts (WOPPA) and The University of Kentucky (USA). Ben has learnt and performed with several master musicians including David Jones and Rufus Reid.
Cohen Duo released their first CD, “I Wished For You” in March 2003. The duo performs primarily in and around Melbourne, Geelong and the Surfcoast.
Cohen Duo provides stylish entertainment – suitable for more up market functions such as intimate wedding receptions, cocktail parties and corporate events.
